LIFE REFLECTIONS OF PASTOR MARLENE SANDRA WILSON
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

She was employed with Shaw Industries as a customer service representative until her health began to fail.
Marlene grew up in Jehovah Holiness Church where along with her siblings she sang on the SY Choir, the Berkeley District Youth Choir and traveled with the Berkeley District Adult Choir. One of the main singing groups she was known to sing with is The Oakhill Singers where at that time members were Myron, Melody, Reginald, and Sandy, III. Lavar and Carlton, they were too young to sing with the group.
While living in Georgia, Marlene attended Stronghold Christian Church under the leadership of Dr. Benjamin Gaither, and later moved and joined Lighthouse Evangelistic Church, under the leadership of Pastor Gloria Gainor, Cartersville, GA. It was at this location that she became an Associate Pastor.
Along with her brothers, Marlene crafted the art of playing the drums. She was also seen pretty much everywhere she went to service carrying her tambourine. Marlene was also very good with graphic art. What ever kind of flyer you needed, she may fuss a little, but she would get it done. She also made sure everybody’s pictures were up to date. When it was family reunion time, she wanted pictures early so she could get the slide show done in time.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents Pastor Sandy and Lady Mahilda Wilson: her twin sister, Pastor Melody Wilson, Summerville, SC; her brothers Sandy, III (Cicely) of Memphis, TN, and Elder Lavar (Stacey) of Summerville, SC; four aunts and eight uncles: Aurther Lee (Reola) Wilson, Oscar (Ida) Wilson, Mazie (Friendly) Green, Isaac (Joann) Owens, Fermon (Betty) Owens, John Owens, Anthony (Denise) Owens, Diane (Ralph) Rhodes, Kenneth (Vanessa) Owens, Daryl (Irene) Owens, Melvina (Brian) Pringle, Lashunda Owens-Ferguson; three nieces and one nephew: Jasmine, Lacey, Faith, and Seth.
