LIFE REFLECTIONS OF MS. STARR E. SINGLETON

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me: Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”  Psalm 23:6

Ms. Starr Elyse Singleton, the daughter of Mr. Gregory Vance. Sr., and the late Mrs. Cynthia Singelton - Vance was bon on February 18, 1989 in Charleston, South Carolina. In the early morning of Sunday, May 28, 2023 she heard the voice of her heavenly Father saying "you have labored enough, now it's time to enter into eternal rest.

Starr Elyse, affectionately known as Missy" was educated in Berkeley County Schools from Cross Elementary to Timberland High School.

At an early age Starr began attending West Chapel Holiness Church where she accepted the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and eventually moved to Pineville, South Carolina and became apart of St. Phillip Baptist church and the Junior Choir.

Starr was employed with several companies such as, DuPont-Dak Americas Cooper River Plant, Santee Cooper, Sam's Wholesale, and Walmart Warehouse.

Starr was very outgoing and friendly and she gave such strong and compassionate hugs that would allow you to know that the hug was genuine and not fake. Her love for her family was extraordinary and unconditional no matter the circumstances.

It is also said by family that Starr “cooked a mean pot-roast” which speaks volume to indicate she was literally following in her mother’s footsteps. She was also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

Starr also had a squeaky tone to her voice that would make you laugh even when she was being serious.

Starr is preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Liavett Singleton-Vance.

Starr leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: Her two loving children; Kamren Singleton and Aubria Liavett Martin; a special niece whom she helped raised, Jalisa Duren; Her father; Gregory Vance, Sr.; a special friend; Justin Aubry Martin; Eight siblings; Roger (Lisa) Stephens, Nosh Joseph, Michael (Cookie) Joseph, Tawana (Jo Van) Middleton, Brandy Polite, Kevin Singelton, Gregory Singleton, Jr., Marcus Singleton, and Israel Singelton-Vance; six maternal aunts; Lorraine S.
