Life Reflections of Michael Washington
The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want. Psalms 23:1
Michael Washington affectionally known as “Mike” was proudly born on June 21, 1953 to the Late Willis Washington and Late Oner Mildred Washington Ashe in Baltimore, Maryland. Mike received his education in the State of Maryland. He graduated from Patterson High School, Baltimore Maryland.
Mike enjoyed baseball and basketball. He was offered a basketball scholarship after graduation in South Carolina. He refused it because he was not ready to leave the Baltimore. Mike later moved to South Carolina. Mike was determined to move forward and get a fresh start in a new state. Afterall, he had tons of family members here and met plenty of new friends.
Mike was no stranger to anyone. He enjoyed hanging out and talking to people. If you want to know the definition of a “Helping Hand”. Call on Mike. Mike had a passion for people. Mike would do for others when he himself was in need. Many of times his heart of compassion won the favor of so many people. He took pride in whatever he did. He was an entertaining kind of guy. Didn’t like to be bored. He liked what he liked and that made him happy. Mike could charm you with just about anything so don’t go to sleep on him. Mike was the “Information Guy” of Jamestown. If he didn’t know, he would find out. He enjoyed hanging out at the Kangaroo Express in Jamestown. That was like home for him where he mingled with people.
Mike will be missed by family, friends, love ones, hang out buddies, former employers, the Jamestown Community and everyone that knew Mike Washington.
Mike leaves all his love and memories for all of us to cherish and especially his brother; Calvin (Shirley) Washington and sister; Clarice (John) Eversley, both of Baltimore, Maryland, a special Aunt; Adlean Nole of Jamestown, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
