We regret to announce the passing of Lucretia Milford McCray, 63, of Pineville, SC who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that only immediate family members visit the home during this time. Please keep the McCray/Milford family in your prayers.
Life Reflections of Lucretia McCray
“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1
Lucretia McCray, daughter of the late Leroy and Willie Mae Milford was born on February 19, 1957 in Bonneau, SC. She peacefully transitioned into eternal life with the Lord on October 31, 2020 in Pineville, SC.
Lucretia was educated in the public schools of St. Stephens, SC. She retired from Grans for Burks where she worked for many years.
Lucretia McCray was married and out of that union she was blessed with three children.
Lucretia loved the Lord and trusted Him. She believed and excepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
Lucretia loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved sewing and attending various social gatherings amongst her family. She loved gardening/potting plants and her fish tank. She also loved FaceTime calls with her grandchildren.
She was affectionately called “Cretia” by her loved ones and siblings. She was kind, loving, humble, quiet, giving, compassionate and always ready to help someone. Her favorite goodbye saying was “Kiss Kiss”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Wendell A. McCray, Jr., Latoya S. McCray and Quinton E. McCray (Lakia); grandchildren: Quinton, Jr., Derek, Jasmynn, Amir, Mi’reille, Jeremiah, Ethan, Wynter, Sacoria and Skylar; siblings: Evelena (John) Mustapher, Victoria (Pastor Roy) Snider, Wilbur Milford, Richard Milford, Gloria (Calvin) Rouse; bestfriend, Tywoler Conyers; family friend, Wanda Garner and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 4pm - 7pm at Divinity Mortuary. Graveside Service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020, 12noon at Peru Cemetery 606 Monitor Ln. St. Stephens, SC 29479
As per CDC guidelines, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing at both viewing and the service.
