Lequan Davis Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Lequan Davis, 41, of Eutawville, SC who entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 3, 2022. Lequan was the loving and devoted husband of Danielle Davis, the loving father of Olivia, Alaina and Kelsey Davis, the forever loving son of Beatrice Davis and the late Leroy Davis, the loving brother of Lequanda (Dominic) Brown, Dejona Brown and Teru Davis.

The family will be receiving family and friends at their residence. A face mask is to be worn at all times while at the residence. Continue to keep the Davis and Gilliard family in your prayers and please continue to adhere to all Covid-19 protocols.

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF LEQUAN O. DAVIS

Lequan Oshea “Quan Pooh” Davis of Eutawville, SC, the son of the late Leroy Davis and Beatrice Davis was born on January 29, 1981, and departed this life on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Lequan attended the public schools in Orangeburg County. He was a graduate of Holly Hill Roberts High School class of 2000. Lequan entered into the Air Force immediately after graduation and served as an Air Craft Mechanic. He traveled all over the world. Lequan retired from the Air Force in 2014 after serving 15 years as a Master Sergeant. After retirement, Lequan obtained his CDL and became an owner operator in the trucking industry until his passing. He joined Poplar Hill Christian as a member in 2017, and served on the security team and the Brothers in Unity (BIU Group).

Lequan was known as “Quan Pooh” or “Quanie Pooh” to many. He enjoyed traveling, boat activities, being near the water, sitting in the backyard with friends and family, and his favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles. “Fly Eagles Fly.” He was a man with a big heart, and always made sure everyone was okay or had a good time around him. Some of his favorite sayings were: “Carry on,” “Have a little razzle dazzle,” and “It’s a beautiful thing.”

Lequan leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Danielle Sherice Davis of the home; three daughters: Olivia, Alaina, and Kelsey Davis; Godson, Dominique R. Gilliard, Jr.; loving and devoted mother, Ms. Beatrice Davis; two sisters, Evangelist Dejona Brown and Lequanda (Dominic) Brown; one brother, Teru Davis; aunts: Judy (Daton) Fullard, Cynthia (Edmond) Beach, Cassandra Washington, Sherry Washington, Betsy (Louis) Nelson, Yvette (Micheal) Jackson and Linda Brown; uncles: Michael Brown, Wayne Bates, Alexander Graham and Joseph Washington, Jr.; great aunts and uncles: Ernestine Spann, Ida Greene, Maeola Watson, Elizabeth Brown, Mable (Larry) Oliver, Betty (John) Gause, Jannie Lee Gilliard, Julie Dixon, Beatrice Brown, Vergaree Brown, Silas (Estell) Brown, Jessie Brown, Leon Dixon, Edward Lee Dixon and Herbert Dixon.; loving father and mother-in-law, Elder Daniel and Dr. Gloria Gilliard; one brother-in-law, Lamont (Kimberly) Gilliard; three sisters-in-law: Glenda Gilliard, Tiffany (Frank) McCray, and Ashley Gilliard; special and devoted friends, Joseph and Renee Myers; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Divinity Mortuary from 4-7 PM

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Popular Hill Christian Church, 1621 Popular Hill Dr. Cross, SC 29436   Reverend Deveta Smith-Brown, Pastor

Interment: Church Cemetery 

 

 ** Viewing will be held at the beginning of the service, there will be NO viewing at the end of the service **
