Lataive Shonette Johnson

We regret to announce the passing of Lataive Shonette Johnson, 34, of Cross, SC who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She was the beloved Mother of Lavelle Joyner, the loving daughter of Genell  L. Johnson & Anthony Robinson. 

The Family will be receiving family and friends at 1168 Sharper Dr. Cross, SC.  The family requests that while at the residence that all adhere to all Covid-19 precautions and protocols. 

Life Reflections of Ms. Lataive Shonette Johnson

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.  Psalm 121: 1,2

Ms. Lataive Shonette Johnson, daughter of Genelle Johnson and Anthony Robinson was born August 25, 1987 in Charleston, SC. She departed this life on October 27, 2021.

At an early age she was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ has her personal Savior.

She attended and graduated from Cross High School in 2005.

Lataive was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She was quite humorous and full of fun. She loved to do hair and dance. Lataive had a sweet personality and was loved by many people. She was a devoted mother to her son, Jamarion, whom she loved with every fiber of her body. She was a kind firecracker, just don’t get on her bad side. She was known for being fashionably styled and being a Diva.

Lataive was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ellen Spann and brother, Ronvelle Johnson.

Lataive will always remain in the hearts of her son, Lavell Jamarion Joyner;  mother, Genelle Johnson of Cross, SC;  father, Anthony Robinson;  aunt, Roberta Spann;  eight brothers: Robert and Damien Johnson of Cross, SC, Vashawn Brown and Anthony Frazier of Charleston, SC;  Touri Arnold, Stephon Spann, Kevin A. Spann and Alex Dingle of Cross, SC;  five sisters: Ashley Spann of Cross, SC, Latishia Campbell, Toni Princess Ann Robinson, Taniesha Williams of Charleston, SC and Jessica Dingle of Jacksonville, FL;  a special friend, Phatima Grant; and a host of dear uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Viewing for Ms. Lataive Shonette Johnson will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 3-7pm at Divinity Mortuary Chapel.

Graveside and Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at Johnson-Casino Cemetery on Zion Rd, Cross SC 29436
