George William Hoesly, age 82, died peacefully on Wednesday May 3, 2023, in Goose Creek, South Carolina surrounded by loved ones. George was born in Newark, NJ on June 8, 1940, to Albert and Linda Hoesly (both deceased). He married Patricia D’Annunzio in 1962 in Summit, New Jersey. They had three children, Lisa Ann (Michael) Shotyk, Chris Ann (Michael) Szep, and George “Jake” Jacob (Suzanne) Hoesly. He moved with his family to Bridgewater, New Jersey in 1976. After the union ended, George married Ellen Adams (deceased) in 1989 and they lived in Phillipsburg, New Jersey before moving to Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

George was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard, serving from 1962-68. He was a dedicated member of the Summit Elks Lodge where he served as a chaplain and volunteered as an Elk. George enjoyed his work as a tree surgeon and his lengthy employment for the City of Summit, both of which allowed him to form lifelong friendships. He loved riding his motorcycle, gambling, dancing and enjoying life.
