Felicia Fennick Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Felicia Fennick, 61, of Moncks Corner, SC who entered into eternal rest on Friday morning, November 11, 2022 at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston, SC. Felicia was the daughter of Mrs. Josephine Fennick & the late Joseph Fennick; forever loving sister of Myron (Mae) Fennick of Moncks Corner, SC, Maxine K. Fennick of Jamesburg, New Jersey, Kimberly A. Guzman of Puerto-Rico & Monique A. Fennick of Brick, New Jersey; very special nephew: Quentin Fennick, nieces: Shanara, Sable & Kalia, nephews: Myles, Kadeem, Manuel & Dwight Russell.

 

The family will not be receiving guests at their residence at this time due to Covid-19. The Fennick family thank you for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time. You are welcome to leave your condolences on our Tribute Wall. 

 


 

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF MS. FELICIA FENNICK

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.  2 Timothy 4:6-8

 

Felicia Rene Fennick, was born June 6, 1961 in Newark, New Jersey to Josephine F. Fennick, and the late Joseph Fennick.

Her education and employment 

​She was educated in the Matawan New Jersey public schools. 

Felicia was taught to be independent and punctual. Her high school years was learning and working. As her journey continued she began working in the   insurance, transportation, medical billing and coding industry. Felicia loved to drive. This love for driving lead her to the charter bus industry where she was employed with Academy Charter Bus Lines for a number ofyears. Later, she would broaden her employment opportunities as she received training for medical billing and coding through Concentra and was hired to work from home.

Her Move 

Felicia would later journey to South Carolina in 2006 where she would continue medical billing and coding and found her love for physical fitness. Felicia became certified as a physical fitness coach. She fulfilled her love for exercise and maintaining a healthy life style teaching Zumba, step aerobics, and line dancing. She was known to some as the dancing machine. Her healthy lifestyle lead to preparing her favorite recipes and creating meal preps.

Her Family 

Felicia too many but Aunt Lisa to the loves of her life. Her nieces and her nephews were her children, she enjoyed them through skating, swimming, dancing, laughing, and teaching them to be independent. 

Her Spiritual Journey

Felicia was reared to be precise, making it known that she would be respected. She attend New Light Baptist Church in Cliffwood, New Jersey with her mother for a short period of time.

Her spiritual walk with Christ would lead her to fellowship with Grace RE, Abiding Word Family Ministries, Mitten Lane Holiness, of South Carolina. Eventually White Chapel Holiness Church of St. Stephens, South Carolinabecame her set place.

Her Unexpected Victory

Unexpectedly she was faced with a sudden health challenge that would lead to her transition. It is noted that she began to sing I don’t know how and I don’t know when but God is going to fix.

Her Living Testament 

She leaves as a testament: her mother Josephine Fennick; three aunts, Naomi Fennick, Alma Day, Willie Mae Queen, one brother Maurice Fennick(Mae) SC, three sisters Maxine Kaye Fennick, Jamesburg, New Jersey,Kimberley Annette Guzman, Humacao, Puerto Rico and Monique Antonette Fennick, Brick, New Jersey, three nieces Shanara, Sable, Kalia three grand nieces, five nephews Kadeem, Miles, Manuel, Dwight, and Quentin the one dear to her heart, three grand nephews, a host cousins, friends, three close friends, Sheila McHoney, Diana Mustapher, Kevin Shirer, Several extended families the Cabbagestalks, of New Jersey, Loretta Ferguson, Hannah P. McCoy-Starkes, Mom Shirley Washington and daughters (Deborah, Gloria, Annette)  Billie Williamson, Tristan Simmons, and Tyrone Mustapher all of whom she loved dearly.

 


Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Divinity Mortuary from 5-7 PM.   

A face mask MUST be worn.

 

Life Celebration Service of Ms. Felicia Fennick will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Abiding Word Family Ministries, 227 Abiding Way, Moncks Corner, SC.

Apostle Sam Gourdine - Pastor

A face mask must be worn at all times during the service.

 

Interment: Mitten Lane / Freewill Holiness Cemetery, Mitten Lane, SC
