DEACON WILLIE SMITH

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deacon Willie Smith, 92, of Moncks Corner, SC (Longridge) who transitioned peacefully in the care of the Lord on Tuesday morning, November 14, 2023 at Trident Medical Center, N. Charleston, SC. Deacon Willie was born March 23, 1931 in Berkeley County, SC. He was the son of the late Moses Smith and Mrs. Georgianna Stevens - Smith. Deacon Smith was the Patriarch of his family and will forever be the loving father of Janie Bell Williams, Jackie "Mona " (Al) Wynn, Wiilhemena "Mena" Hawkins, Willie (Daphne) Smith, Sandy (Dr. Latanya} Smith; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, the Long Ridge Community & Canaan Christian Church Family.

The family will be receiving family and friends at 1493 Longridge Road, Moncks Corner, SC from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please adhere to the hours given by the family. A face mask is required to be worn and kept on at all times while at the residence.
