After working very hard to overcome the challenges before her, Ciera was able to go back to school and received her General Education Diploma in 2007. This was an achievement that she was extremely proud of, and she was determined not to ever give up.

Ciera received Christ as her personal savior at a very early age and has been a lifelong member of New Mount Zion AME Church.

Ciera was a loving daughter, sister, and auntie. She genuinely loved her family and would do anything for each of them. She also enjoyed reading, studying African history, and listening to Jimmy Hendrix. When she was able, she was an extremely hard worker and always strived for her independence. She was a person that brought laughter to any room and would go above and beyond for the people she loved.

Her brother, the late Mr. Josh E. Lawrence, and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Hollins Lawrence proceeded her in death.

Those left to cherish found memories are her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles & Debra Davis; her devoted sister Mrs. Sade (Jaron) Cobin; her nephews & niece Mr. Joshua Lawrence, Miss Maliyah Lawrence, and Master Jordan Cobin; her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Herman & Elease Davis; her aunts, Mrs. Linda Varner, Mrs. Kimberly (Gilbert) Richardson, Ms. Gloria Davis, Mrs. Debra (Mike) Sheppard, Mrs. Faye (Andrew) Fountain, Mrs. Priscilla (Daniel) Moore, Mrs. Carol (Calvin) Cooper, and Mrs. Shirley (Andrew) Gross; her uncles, Mr. Wilson Brown, Mr. Hollins Lawrence Jr., Mr. Tyrone Lawrence, Mr. Herman (Deloris) Davis, Mr. Robert Davis, Mr. Gregory (Leslie) Davis, and Mr. Arthur (Tanya) Alston; a very close and special friend Ms. Logan Preston, and a host of other cousins, grand aunt & uncles, other relatives, and close friends.
