It is with great sadness we announce the heavenly transition of Barbara Ann Jones-Kyte, 54, of Cincinnati, OH formerly of Moncks Corner, SC who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Cincinnati, OH. Barbara was the loving and devoted wife of Godfrey A. Kyte, Sr., the loving mother of Godfrey A. Kyte, Jr. and Rashad (Airyes) Kyte, the forever loving sister of Bobbie Jean (Alphonso) Pride, Delmarie (Dexter) Stevens, Phyllis (Keith) Fashion, Lee Arthur (Willie Mae) Jones, Jr. all of Moncks Corner, SC, and  Daisy (Larry) Moorer of Orangeburg, SC.

 

The family will be receiving family and friends from 5-9 PM at 427 Tony Lane Moncks Corner, SC 29461. A face masks is required to be worn at all times while at the residence. Please keep the Kyte and Jones family in your prayers during this difficult time.  You are welcome to leave your condolences on our Tribute Wall.

 

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF MRS. BARBARA ANN JONES - KYTE

And God shall wipw away all tears from their eye; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  Revelation 21:4

 

Mrs. Barbara Ann Jones Kyte formerly known as "Doll Baby" was the youngest of eight children born to the union of the late Lee Arthur Jones, Sr. and Jessie Mae (Gibbs) Jones was born August 18, 1967 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

She departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Barbara was a 1985 graduate of Berkeley High School, upon graduation she received her Cosmetology License from Winford Academy in Brooklyn, New York. She obtained her business license and became the owner of New Life Adult Daycare in Columbia, South Carolina.

Barbara was an extraordinary woman! She had a strong business mind and a love for fashion, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was adored and loved by all
who knew her.

Barbara knew the Lord at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ into her life as her personal Savior and was a member at Wesley United Methodist Church. Barbara later moved to Brooklyn, New York where she attended various churches. After moving to Cincinnati, Ohio, Shiloh Seventh-Day Adventist Church was her visiting church.

Barbara was united in Holy Matrimony to Godfrey Anthony Kyte for 29 years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Arthur Jones, Sr. and Jessie Mae  (Gibbs) Jones; two sisters, Delores Jones and Margie Ann Jones Wright.

Those left to cherish her fond memories are her husband, Godfrey Anthony Kyte; two children, Rashad (Airyes) Kyte and Godfrey A. Kyte, Jr.; stepchildren: Roger Kyte, Donnette (Louis) Austin, Lateisha Kyte and Johnathan Kyte; six grandchildren: Malaya Kyte, Godfrey A. Kyte, III, Ryleigh Young, Reign Kyte, Khaliya Kyte, and Rocco Kyte all from Cincinnati, Ohio; six forever loving sisters and brothers: Bobbie Jean (Alphonso) Pride, Delmarie (Dexter) Stevens, Phyllis (Keith) Fashion, of Moncks Corner, SC and Lee Arthur (Willie Mae) Jones, Jr., Anthony (Stella) Benjamin all of Moncks Corner, SC, and Daisy (Larry) Moorer of Orangeburg, SC.; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in- law; three aunts: Ruth (John) Stevens, Pauline (Clayton) McBride, and Bertha Lee Nel- son all of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; a best friend of many years, Cheryl Renee “Pinky” Pierce and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1008 Sugar Hill Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461  Reverend Shamond D. Riddy - Pastor

Interment: Old Nazareth Cemetery, 2205 Wampee Dr.  Moncks Corner, SC 29461

There will be no viewing.
