It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vernel Hannibal Mazyck, 74, aka “Hank” of Moncks Corner, SC who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Hank leaves to cherish his memories his children, Jamal Mazyck of McDonough, GA, and Tyawn Cotterell, of Long Island, NY; (7) Grandchildren, Jamal Mazyck, Jamel Mazyck, Adonis Mazyck, Aaron Mazyck, Tyawna Cotterell, Tionne Cotterell, Amir Gray: Siblings, Evelyn Roberson of Hawaii, Reaven (Elaine) Mazyck, of Staten Island, NY; loving nieces and nephews, Lewis J. Kelly, Sheila Kelly, Sylvia Kelly, Vincent Vanterpool, Twhanika Jackson, Khadijah Goodwine, Lester Mazyck-Carroll, Marshal Carroll, Ebrahim Mazyck-Hill, Arroweloh Shabeleh, Daigha Shabeleh, Tylar Mazyck-Hall, Damien Mazyck and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Public Viewing for Mr. Vernel Hannibal Mazyck, aka “Hank” will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 10:00am until the hour of service at Greater St. James AME Churhch, 1831 Jedburd Rd. Summerville, SC 29486. Reverend Brian Swinton - Pastor
