It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Vera B. Govan, 93, of Bonneau, SC who heard the Master's call peacefully and quietly she answered to receive her just reward on Saturday morning April 13, 2024 at Lake Moultrie Nursing Home, St. Stephen, SC. Mother Vera will be missed among her family, Community and Jehovah Baptist Church family. Mother Vera was the loving aunt of Ann (Julius) Middleton, Herbert (Theresa) Starks, Shirley Madison, Dedra (Rudolph) Simmons and Tommie Jean (Buck) McHoney; (1) Step-Son: Robert Govan, Jr., ( 2) Great- Grandchildren , (4) Step-Grandchildren, (1) Brother-in-law, (2) Niece-in-law and a host of grand/great-nieces, grand/great- nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mother Vera was preceded in death by her husband Joe Govan; her parents James Blanding & Jane Virgin-Blanding; (6) Brothers, (1) Sister, (2) Nephews, (1) Niece and (1) Step-Son.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Mr. & Mrs. Ann (Julius) Middleton residence at 379 Dennis Ridge Rd. Bonneau, SC 29431.

Mother Vera B. Govan will lie in state at the church from 9:30am until the hour of service. There will be NO VIEWING at the end of the service. Service will be live streamed.
