It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thearthey Johnson, 82, of Ladson, SC who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Summerville Community Hospice House, Summerville, SC. Mother Thearthey Johnson accepted Christ at an early age. She was a God fearing Mother who loved God, served and worked in the Lord's church until her health began to fail. Mother Thearthey has now gained her heavenly reward and is now resting in the Lord. Mother Johnson will forever be the loving Mother of (5) daughters: Gevoda (Keith) Cottman, Ruth (Jerome) Simmons & Norridean (James) Goode; (3) sons: Cadillac Cordes, Jerald (Laverne) Cordes & Stephon (Paulette) Cordes; (2) stepdaughters: Karen White & Lisa Johnson; (1) stepson: Wayne Jennings and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren other relatives, friends and Greater St. James AME Church family.

Mother Johnson was preceded in death by her husbands Samuel Johnson & Roosevelt Cordes, daughters Sharon Rich, Donna Lampkin and her parents Harry & Essie Peace Walker.
