Sam Smalls, Jr. Aka “Snook”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sam Smalls, Jr.,77, of St. Stephen, SC affectionately known as "Snook" who entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Charleston, SC with his loving children and family by his bedside. Sam was the loving father of his son Wayne Anthony Smalls currently of North Charleston, SC and daughter Sharon Davis-Daniels (Derrick) of Moncks Corner, SC; granddaughters; D'Andrea Mitchell-Horne (Brandon) and Amber Daniels both of Moncks Corner, SC; he adored his great-granddaughters; Bre'Elle, Andrea and Amelia; loving siblings; Daisy Snider, Delores Smalls, Daniel Smalls (Betty), Benjamin Smalls Sr. (Lisa), John Smalls (Shirlene) all of St. Stephen, SC and Johnny Reed (Rosetta) of Moncks Corner, SC; special friends; Michael Singleton and Joe Perkins and a host of many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Sam was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Davis-Smalls; his parents Sam (Beatrice) Smalls, Sr., and his sisters Carrie Bell Smalls-Staley and Lerline E. Heyward.

The Smalls family will be receiving family and friends at 122 Palmetto Street St. Stephen, SC between the hours of 3pm - 8pm. Please adhere to the hours given by the family. A face mask is required to be worn and kept on at all times while at the residence.

Mr. Sam Smalls, Jr. will lie in state on Friday, January 12, 2023 from 9:00am - 11:00am at White Chapel Holiness Church, 120 Palmetto Ave. St. Stephen, SC Bishop Roderick Sumpter - Pastor
