NORWOOD RAY CLEVELAND, JR.

It is with profound sadness Divinity Mortuary alongside the Cleveland, Simmons and Elliott family, announce the passing of Norwood Ray Cleveland, Jr., 61, of Moncks Corner, SC, who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 9, 2026. 

RAY (affectionately called by many) graduated from the Berkeley County School system. 

Ray was a skilled carpenter and loved the New Orleans Saints Football Team and loved his family.

RAY leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 37 years, Angela Cleveland, his beloved siblings, Michael Cleveland, V'anzetta (Leo) Shaw, Ann (Julius) Middleton; aunt and uncle, Marvin (Shirley) Elliott, Lorean Cleveland; brothers and sisters in law; Rev. Douglas (Evangelist Elaine) Wineglass, Vera Reaves, Suzie Simmons, Leroy (Charlene) Simmons, Belinda Gourdine, Mable Simmons, and a host of many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

RAY was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Norwood Ray Cleveland, Sr., and Queenie Cleveland; (2) sisters, Sylvia Jenkins and Betty Sanders; (2) brothers, Tony Cleveland and Micheal Sanders.

The family will receive guests at their residence between the hours of 12:00 Noon - 7:00pm. Please adhere to the hours given by the family and continue to uplift the Cleveland, Simmons and Elliott family in your prayers.
