Divinity Mortuary alongside the Simmons, Smith and Walker family regret to announce the passing of Marquita Smith, 39, of Moncks Corner, SC who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Marquita leaves to cherish her fond memories her wife, Kresha Simmons, loving father, Namon ( Shanta ) Smith, loving brother, Demarko Smith and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Marquita was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Mary Walker-Smith.

The family will be receiving guests at Marquita’s aunt residence Mrs. Aszrine Walker. Keep the Simmons, Smith and Walker family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Marquita loved the color purple and she loved butterflies therefore the family asks that everyone please wear a shade of purple on Monday in memory of Marquita. 🦋 🦋
