Divinity Mortuary alongside the Darden family regret to announce the passing of Leslie Algeron Darden, 79, of Summerville, SC transitioned on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his residence with his loving children by his bedside. He was born in Newport News, VA to the late William Darden and Dorothy Daniels Darden. Mr. Darden will be missed and forever cherished by his children, Angela (Carl) Facey, Jeffrey (Wendy) Tyler, Sr., Karen Lesley Rogers; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grand; one sister, Amona Budansingh of St. Albans, NY; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Friday, December 12 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will be from 12pm to 1pm Friday. Burial will follow in Meadowview Memorial Park, Oxford, NC.
