It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Herbert L. Bailey, Jr., aka “Moochie” Ras Imhotep Thutmosis Selassie, 66, of St. Stephen, SC who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Moochie leaves to cherish his memories his loving children, Albert Harris aka “Smootch”, Shalanda Wells; step-father Harris McDaniel; loving siblings, Sherrie (Johnnie) Thomas, Salisa McKelvey, Doug (Courtney) Bailey, Issac (Tracy) Bailey, Will (Ida) Bailey, Joshua (Carlene) Bailey, Sr., Joseph Bailey, Melody (George) Williams, Zadoc (Martese) Bailey, James McDaniel, Jordan McDaniel, Larry McKelvey, Edward (Vicki) Medley, Abraham Medley, Norris (Belinda) McDaniel, Keith McDaniel; loving aunt and uncle, Doretha (Harvey) Reid; special friend, Deloris (Jean) Brooks and a host of many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Lee Bailey, Sr., and Elizabeth McKelvey-Bailey-McDaniel.

The family will receive not receive guests at this time.
