Harold White, Jr.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Harold White, 59, of Moncks Corner, SC who heard the Master's call and answered on Thursday evening August 11, 2022 at Trident Medical Center in N. Charleston, SC surrounded by his loving family by his bedside. Harold was the loving and devoted husband of Inetha White; loving father of Dominique Pough, Harold White III, Christopher & Felicia White; forever loving brother of Richardean (Ralph) Hubbard, Joseph (Janie) Jones, William (Selma) Jones, Carlton (Blanche) White, Charles White & Calvin (La'Shawna) White.

Harold White Jr., transitioned peacefully from labor to reward nine days before his 60th birthday on August 11, 2022, surrounded by his family. Harold was born August 20, 1962, to the late Harold White, Sr. and the late Vernell White in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Harold was educated in the public schools of Charleston and Berkeley County. He graduated from Berkeley High School, class of 1981. He attended Allen University, then graduated from Blanton Trucking School in North Carolina. Harold was a trucker for over 35 years. He was also owner and operator of White Brothers Bus Tours for over 10 years.

Harold dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Moncks Corner AME Church. Harold was a church cook, member of the Finance Committee and Pastor's Aide Committee, former class leader of Class #9, former ProTem of the Steward Board, church bus driver, and Booster Club President. He jumped in and helped wherever needed. Harold was also a Past Master of Moncks Corner Lodge #323.

Harold was a loving, caring, funny person and never met a stranger. Harold LIVED and always did right by everyone. He was a grill master and loved to cook. His specialties included his okra gumbo, fried fish, frogmore stew and ribs. Harold absolutely loved family and was always ready for a family cookout. He also served as President of the Sandy Haynes/Gabriel and Lussia Fyall Haynes Family Reunion Committee for 30 years.

On July 26, 1986, Harold was joined in holy matrimony to Inetha Vice. This union shared four children: Dominique, Harold III, Felicia, and Chris.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Jones. Harold leaves to cherish everlasting memories: his wife of 36 years, Inetha, his children: Dominique (Marc), Harold III, Felicia and Chris, three grandchildren: Ja'Marriya, DJ, and Hayden; one sister: Richardean Hubbard (Ralph); five brothers: Joseph Jones (Janie), William Jones (Selma), Carlton White (Blanche), Charles White and Calvin White (La'Shawna); his special aunt: Oralee White; four sisters-in-law: Almena (Joe) Wright, Vivian Wright, Angelene (Herman) Spann, Laterica Vice; two brothers-in-law: Jerel Matthews Sr. and Kenneth Vice; special cousins: Almirth White, Kenny Williams, Leorance and Isabell Ward and Ricardo White; special friends: Gary Weiters, Jerome Brown, Ronald "Big Rigger" Dubose, Kenny Grant, and Rev. Thomas Habersham; his pet best friend, Chico; and a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, truckers, bus driver friends and numerous friends who will miss Harold greatly.

Wake Service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Moncks Corner AME Church, 306 W. Main St. Moncls Corner, SC 29461.

Home-Going Service for Mr. Harold White, Jr. will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Moncks Corner AME Church, 306 W. Main St.Moncks Corner, SC 29461.  Reverend Darien Jones - Pastor

Interment Following the Service: St. James AME Church Cemetery, 107 S. US-52 Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
