Eliza E. Smith - Peace

It is with humble submission and bowed heads we announce the passing of Mother Eliza E. Smith-Peace, 96, of Moncks Corner, SC affectionately known as "Lizer" heard the master's call and answered early Wednesday morning on January 18, 2023 at her residence with her loving daughters and family by her bedside. Mother Peace was respectfully the oldest church mother at Greater St. James A.M.E. Church in Jedburg/Summerville, SC under the leadership of Reverend Archie Fair. Mother Peace worked faithfully and served diligently on the Missionary Board, Steward Board, Seniors Board and the kitchen committee. She will be greatly missed amongst her family, the community, and her church family. Mother Peace will forever be the loving mother of Nolten (Yvonne) Peace Jr., Robert (Sharon) Peace Sr., Henry (Reverend Virginia) Peace, Tincielee P. (Bernard, Sr.) Motte, Arzwell (Williette) Peace, and Lillian P. Brown; loving sister of: York Smith, Mary Harleston, Julie Mazyck, Walter (Ruby Lee) Smith, Jr.

Mother Peace was preceded in death by her husband the late Nolten Peace, Sr., parents: Walter (Lillian) Smith, Sr. and her siblings: Lizzie Pou, Rodella Simmons & Moses Smith.

The family will be receiving family and friends at their residence. A face mask must be worn and kept on at all times while at the residence .  Please continue to adhere to covid protocols & continue to keep the Peace & Smith family, Greater St. James A.M.E. Church Family & the Community in your prayers.  You are welcome to leave your condolences on our tribute Wall.

SERVICE DETAILS:

Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Greater St. James AME Church, 1831 Jedburg Rd. Summerville, SC 29486.

Home Going & Life Celebration Service of Mother Eliza Peace will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Greater St. James AME Church, 1831 Jedburg Rd. Summerville, SC 29486. Reverend Archie Fair- Pastor

Interment - Greater St. James AME Church Cemetery

THERE WILL NOT BE A VIEWING AFTER THE SERVICE.  The service will be live streamed on Divinity Mortuary facebook page.
