David Anthony Irick

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David Anthony Irick, 61, of Summerville, SC who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 1:46 AM at Trident Medical Center.

** Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the family will not be receiving family and friends at their residence. The family thank you for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time. **

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF DAVID ANTHONY IRICK

The Lord is my shepherd;  I shall not want.  Psalm 23:1

David Anthony Irick, the son of the late Louis and Gertrude Irick was born February 12, 1960 in Dorchester County, Summerville S.C.  God reached down and picked this beautiful flower out of his garden at 1:46 AM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Trident Medical Center.

At an early age David attended Bethel A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. Gadsden.

David who's affectionately known as "little poose" was educated in Dorchester County and graduated from Summerville High School Class of 1979. David later joined the Army National Guard and served his country faithfully.

David was later joined in Holy Matrimony to Bernice Richardson, from this union 3 children were born, whom he adored and loved very much.

David was the life of a party. He was a jokester and a kind hearted person.

David was preceded in death by Louis Irick, Jr., Gertrude Irick Taylor and Nathaniel Irick.

David leaves to cherish fond memories: his children, David (Antwynette) Irick Jr., Christina Irick and Ashely Irick; grandchildren, Timothy Irick, Lamont Bowens, Joshua Irick, Joseph Irick and  Aerienana Rivers; siblings, John (Vanessa) Irick, Alexander Irick; aunts, Laverne Wright and Helen Glover; aunt in law, Beatrice Irick, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and  other relatives and friends.
