Cleveland Demetrius Harris affectionately known aka"Tuty" was born on December 26, 1984, in Charleston, SC to Cleveland E. Harris and the late Modena Aiken. He peacefully transitioned to eternal rest at Trident Medical Center on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 3:18 AM, surrounded by the love of his family.
Cleveland received his education in the Dorchester School District 2 and graduated from Summerville High School. After graduating high school, he attended Wofford College.
Cleveland accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Emanuel AME Church, Jamestown, SC on April 9, 2023. He faithfully served on the Trustee Board, the Male Choir and actively participated in church fundraisers. Cleveland also regularly attended Sunday School and Bible Study. In addition to his church service, he also contributed to various community projects in the Jamestown/Shulerville area.
After sharing five years together, Cleveland and Antonette Woods joined their lives in holy matrimony on July 25, 2024.
Cleveland was a hardworking and dedicated man. He was employed with Greystar and was Lead Maintenance Technician. He was incredibly skilled with his hands and could fix anything! Cleveland took pride in everything he did, and he believed everything had to be done with precision and excellence.
Cleveland was passionate about music, subwoofers, car shows and racing. He was also a die-hard Atlanta Falcons football fan.
Cleveland was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Modena Aiken; Penny Lee Harris (Stepmother); Brother: Cleveland E. Davis; Grandparents: Cleveland and Unistine Harris; Uncles: Casey and Lambert Harris; niece: X'Zyhla Aiken.
Cleveland leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife, Antonette Woods-Harris; loving children, Ian Harris, Charleston, SC), Zhuri Harris, Beaufort, SC), Amir Harris and Azir Harris, both of Jamestown, SC. He is also survived by his siblings: Alfreda Gethers, (Ridgeville, SC), Michael (Crystal) Aiken, (Spartanburg, SC), Charles (Fattema) Aiken, (North Charleston, SC), DeAndre Lloyd, (Summerville, SC), Lottie Ann Davis, (Kannapolis, NC), Keyonta Pemberton, (Norwood, NC), Alden (Rudy) Graham, (Summerville, SC), Quentin Graham, (Summerville, SC), Nola Graham (Summerton, SC), Cheryl Graham, (Summerville, SC); loving extended family of in-laws, mother-in-law, Helen Woods, father -in-law Michael Woods, sister-in-law; Dania Woods-Haynes, brother-in-law, Dr. Antonio Woods and Tyrone Haynes, uncles and aunts: James Harris, John & Angie Harris, Marcus Harris and Roosevelt & Lottie Mosley; He also shared a special bond with Patience Brockington and India Gilliard, who he took as daughters.
Cleveland will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched with love and kindness.
