It is with profound sadness Divinity Mortuary alongside the Maybank and James family, announce the passing of Brian P. Maybank, 49, of TX (formerly of Jamestown, SC) who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 8, 2026. He leaves to cherish his memories, his forever loving wife, Lakeesha Maybank, his loving children, Jonathan Maybank and Ava Maybank; forever loving mother, Sheraldine Fulmore, sibling, Wates Maybank, Jr. (Tina) and a host of many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF BRIAN P. MAYBANK

Brian P. Maybank was born on January 6, 1977 in Berkeley County to the late Wates Maybank, Sr., and Sheraldine Fulmore. The Lord saw fit to call Brian P. Maybank home on August 8, 2026.

Brian was a proud graduate of Macedonia High School, Class of 95.

Brian was a great friend to many; he loved to cook and shop. He loved a good deal and was always excited to share a new dish or something he concocted with anyone. He loved being a Dad and being silly with his kids. He followed in his grandfather’s steps and became a Mason. He was a Shriner and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.

Brian worked for years at Carrollton Police as a Detention Supervisor, in Texas and received many awards and accolades. He was also a blood draw and taser instructor. He always had great stories, weird dances and that boyish smile and a love for 80's music and good movies.

Brian will be missed but never forgotten.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Wates M. Maybank, Sr.; sister, Darneisha L. McCray; Father-in-Law (Larry James) that loved his as his own son; Mother-in-law Jeannette; brother-in-law, Carlos James; sisters-in-law, Toya and Tosha James; aunt, Sandra Walker; uncles, Charlie Smith & Ronald Smith; cousin, Christopher Maybank.

Brian was a devoted family man, he is survived by his wife LaKeesha; their children that he adored, Jonathan and Ava of CrossRoads, Texas; forever loving mother, Sheraldine Fulmore, siblings, Wates Maybank, Jr. (Tina), aunts, Ella Jean Vice, Delphane Maybank, uncles, Royal Jeffrey Smith, Carrol Maybank, Jonathan Maybank, Levi Maybank; he loved being an uncle and he cherished his time spent with Nephews Aaron (Inid), Zachary, Brandon, Kamren and Kevin Jr.; nieces, Kiyanna and Averie; bonus nephews, Antonio, Antwone and Jarrison; bonus nieces, Jaia, Audreya and Jaycee and a host of many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
