It is with profound sadness Divinity Mortuary alongside the Whitmire and Gadsden announce the passing of Betty Whitmire-Gadsden, 65, of Cordesville, SC who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 16, 2026. 

Betty leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, LaKishia Gadsden (Davon), Dexter Gadsden Jr., Kaneshia Gadsden; (4) grandchildren; siblings, Alberta Gadsden and Hugh Wayne Whitmire; uncles, Joseph Limehouse (Geraldine), Johnny Mack Whitmire; aunts; Caldonia Limehouse, Ellla Whitmire-Jones, Nan Whitmire and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The Gadsden family will begin receiving guests on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Continue to keep the Whitmire and Gadsden family in your prayers.
