It is with profound sadness Divinity Mortuary announce the passing of Anthony George Williamson, 68, of Moncks Corner, SC, who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 12 years, Karen S. Williamson; loving children, Damian Williamson, Michelle Anthony, Sheila Simmons, Ishmael Williamson, Cornelius Casey Jr., Chanell Casey, Alaya Singleton, (18) grandchildren; (3) great-grands; loving mother, Lillian Cheese; brother, Sheldon Williamson and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, George Williamson; his son, Corey Williamson; sisters, Cynthia Brody-Williamson and Gloria Williamson.
The family will receive guests at their residence between the hours of 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Please adhere to the hours given by the family and continue to keep the Williamson and Singleton family in your prayers.
LIFE REFLECTIONS OF ANTHONY GEORGE WILLIAMSON
Anthony George Williamson was born on April 23rd, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York to Lillian Cheese and the late George Williamson. He attended Thomas Edison High School. After high school he joined the US Army as a Tactical Wire Specialist in 82nd Airborne Division, but was Honorably discharged for a medical injury.
After military service he purchased land, created a farm and became part of the Masonic Lodge. Him and his family spent countless hours taking care of animals and crops until the lifestyle was no longer for him due to his illness. He retired the hard working diligent life style for one much slower.
He was a devoted husband and father who valued family, human connections, and helping others. Anthony loved to serve others, going out of his way to make sure those he loved were taken care of. Anthony enjoyed smooth jazz on long rides, dancing to Classic R&B, and traveling as far as he could drive.
On July 14, 2026, Anthony entered eternal rest. He leaves to mourn the love of his life and devoted wife Karen S. Williamson, Mother Lillian Cheese, brother Sheldon Williamson, (4) brothers in law, Anthony singleton (Barbie), Cary Richardson (Menia), Travis Cromwell, and Travis McNeil (Bernadette). (3) Sisters in law, Melanie Singleton, Tina, Ophelia (Rodney). children Damian Williamson, Michelle Anthony, Sheila Williamson, Ishmael Williamson, Cornelius Casey Jr., Chanell Casey, Alaya Singleton, former spouse Lorene Williamson, (18) grand children, (3) great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his father George Williamson, his son Corey Williamson, his sisters Cynthia Brodie, and Gloria Williamson.
