Anna L. Sampson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mother Anna L. Sampson, 77, of Sheep Island, SC who heard the Master's call and peacefully answered to receive her just reward on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Trident Medical Center, N. Charleston, SC with her loving husband and family by her side. Mother Anna was the loving and devoted wife of 56 years to Bradford Sampson; forever loving mother of Anthony Pringle, Patricia Sampson, Bradford Sampson, Jr., & Pastor Robert (Jenerra) Sampson; loving grandchildren, great-grands; sibling: Thomas Grant and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and Mt. Zion AME Church Family.

Mother Sampson was preceded in death by her parents Mingo & Elouise Grant; siblings Jacob Grant, Louis Gary, Melvin Grant, Willhelmina Walker, Albert Grant, Louis Grant & Mary Singleton

The family will be receiving family and friends at their residence 845 Sheep Island rd. Summerville, SC. Visitation will be from 3pm to 8pm. Please honor and respect the families wishes of the time given. A face mask is required to be worn and kept on at all times while at the residence.

Mother Sampson will lie in state from 5:00pm - 6:00pm at the church she attended New Mt. Zion AME Church, 914 Wildgame Rd. Sheep Island/Summerville, SC 29483. There will be a viewing after the Wake Service.

Mother Sampson will also lie in state from 10:00am - 10:50am at New Bethel Sounds of Praise, 351 Greyback Rd. Jedburg, SC 29483. There will be a viewing at the end of the service.
