It is with great sadness we announce the heavenly transition from earth to glory of Mrs. Alpreshia Cookley - Brown, 77, of Bronx NY, formerly of Jamestown, SC who received her just reward and is now resting in the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in Bronx, N.Y.  Alpreshia was the daughter of the Late Rev. James Cookley & Susan Langley Cookley. She was the loving and devoted wife of Albert Brown, the loving mother of Burnette Carol Brown (James) Presley, the loving sister of Dr. Mackie (Lucillie) Cookley, Rev. Nellie Pearson-Cookley, Lila Cookley (Perley) Solomon, John Cookley, Robert Jerome (Vickie) Cookley, Lucretia Cookley (Jerry Sr.) Washington and W. Dean Cookley (Clarence) Hunt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in New York on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Mrs. Alpreshia will be flown back home to Celebrate the conclusion of her Life Celebration Service in SC with her many family and friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Jamestown Steel Shed in Jamestown, SC. She will be laid to rest at New Mt. Zion AME Church, 1553 French Santee Rd. Jamestown, SC 29453    Rev. Willie Holmes - Pastor
